The House of Commons considered Lords’ amendments to the EU referendum bill. Anne voted to withdraw amendment 1, which would have extended the vote in the EU referendum to 16 and 17 year-olds.
Later in the debate Anne questioned how the report on the outcome of the renegotiation will be scrutinised. Lords amendment 5 obliges ‘a statement setting out what has been agreed by members states following negotiations’ and ‘the opinion of the government of the United Kingdom on what has been agreed.’
