Anne Main has written to the new Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Sajid Javid, calling on the decision of the proposed strategic rail freight interchange (SRFI) in Radlett to be reconsidered.
Following the decision by Mr Javid’s predecessor, Greg Clarke, to refuse a similar application the St Albans MP wrote to the communities secretary citing the ‘substantial weight of harm that would be inflicted in St Albans and the surrounding areas’.
Anne wrote to Mr Javid stating, ‘my constituents have been resolute and steadfast for over a decade that SRFI in Radlett is completely wrongheaded and is not wanted by both local residents and the local authority.’
