St Albans MP Anne Main and Hertsmere MP Oliver Dowden met with representatives from STRIFE, the long running campaign group against the planned Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) in Radlett, in parliament this week.
The group discussed the ongoing rail disruption and how the SRFI could heap further misery on commuter services if it was to go ahead. The St Albans MP has recently written to Network Rail expressing her concerns about the ‘vague assurances’ they have given for the deliverability of the SRFI on the rail network and has asked for further clarity on many aspects of the SRFI.
