Bangladesh APPG

10th October 2018

St Albans MP Anne Main has be re-elected by fellow MPs and Peers to chair the all-party group on Bangladesh in Parliament.

Mrs Main said she was ‘delighted’ to be returned but is focused on ‘continuing the group’s good work’ to help the people of Bangladesh. The group held their AGM yesterday and discussed plans for how they intend to continue to campaign in the interests of the people of Bangladesh.

Anne has invited Minister for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Mark Field to come and address the group at its next meeting.

Mrs Main said after the meeting, ‘Obviously I’m delighted to be returned as the chair of the group. We have done some very good work in the past and it is vital now, more than ever, that we continue to engage with the government in the interests of British-Bangladeshis and people all across the country.’
