Mrs. Anne Main MP

Member of Parliament for St Albans

House of Commons

London, SW1A 0AA

12th June 2006

Dear Constituent,

I’d like to begin by saying how good it was to see many of you at the public meeting this Saturday. As you will know the meeting was massively over attended, with people stood in corridors and car parks in the soaring heat. It was also surprising that no one single person spoke out in favour of the plan.

Since then I have had further discussions with Simon Hoare, who is running the consultation process on behalf of Helioslough, who has indicated that the consultation is to be submitted at the end of June/early July.

For those who did not attend the public meeting on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Church, Frogmore – several hundred people attended to voice their objection to the plans. It is vital we let the Local Authority, as well as any public enquiry, know that Park Street; Radlett; and the whole of St Albans as a whole is opposed to this plan.

When I know of when the application has been lodged I will again email to let you know the contact details, as well as any further information, of where to lodge your objections.

In the meantime I will continue to oppose this development and will continue to liaise with pressure groups, whatever their political persuasions, in working to ensure this development is rejected.

With best wishes,

Anne Main MP
