Rail freight consultation begins tomorrow
As I promised to keep you informed regarding Helioslough’s rail freight interchange plan for the former Radlett Aerodrome site, I wanted to remind you that the two day consultation on the revised scheme begins tomorrow.
The consultation hours are 11am-7pm tomorrow (Friday 13th March) and 10am-4pm on Saturday (14th March) and it is being held in the Mountbatten Suite of the Noke Thistle Hotel, Watford Road, Chiswell Green.
The developers are obliged to hold this consultation ahead of submitting an application, and I would urge you if at all possible to go along and see the new proposal, as this will help us to form our arguments in opposition.
As I said in my last email, it is vital that we respond as vigorously as last time if we are to help defeat this proposal. It will be treated as a completely new application so any comments that you may have made last time will not be taken into account. I have asked the Council to inform me when a new application is submitted and I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
STRiFE are continuing their fight against the proposal and members will be present at the consultation. I will be joining them tomorrow from 4pm-6pm, and as my diary allows. They need all the support that we can give them. To find out how you can help, please visit STRiFE’s website, www.strife.biz or ring Cathy Bolshaw on 07710 327969.
I hope that you will be able to lend your support to this campaign and I will continue to keep you informed of further developments.
With best wishes,
