Rail freight consultation going ahead
I promised to keep you informed with any further developments regarding Helioslough’s proposal to build a strategic rail freight interchange on the site of the former Radlett Aeorodrome. I am writing to tell you that Helioslough have now decided to submit another application and are holding a formal public consultation on the plans.
The consultation will take place on Friday 13th (11am-7pm) and Saturday 14th (10am-4pm) of March in the Mountbatten Suite of the Noke Hotel, Watford Road, Chiswell Green. May I urge you if at all possible to take the time to visit this consultation and make your views known.
It is vital that we respond as vigorously as last time if we are to help defeat this proposal. It will be treated as a completely new application so comments that you may have made about the previous application will not be taken into account.
STRiFE are continuing their fight against this monstrous proposal and they need all the support that we can give them. To find out how you can help, please visit STRiFE’s website, www.strife.biz or ring Cathy Bolshaw on 07710 327969.
I hope that you will be able to lend your support to this campaign and I will continue to keep you informed of further developments.
With best wishes,

Anne Main
