Following the rejection of the Radlett Rail Freight proposal, Anne Main, MP for St Albans, celebrated with STRIFE campaigners at their victory party on Sunday (26th October), hosted by Joe Carter, a key member of the campaign.
Anne said:
"It was great to be able to celebrate with many of those involved in the STRIFE campaign, and particularly to thank Cathy Bolshaw for all her work in leading the fight against the rail freight proposal.
It was a long campaign, but ultimately the hard work paid off and the plan, which would have been a blight on our city, was rejected. The members of STRIFE certainly deserved this party, considering their tireless work over the past few years."
