Labour manifesto launch venue underlines their failure in St Albans
12th April 2010
Anne Main comments on the launch of the Labour Manifesto today.
She said:
“Labour launched their manifesto today in a brand new super hospital, just like the one St Albans constituents were promised at Hatfield.
“Gordon Brown boasted that “for those who doubt the achievements of Labour, they just have to look around at this hospital”, but the Super Hospital which would have served St Albans was cancelled, our A&E at Hemel was closed, and our planned Urgent Care Centre has been scrapped because we haven’t got any money. It’s all been spent in areas like Edgbaston.
“Labour doesn’t care about St Albans. We’ve heard it all before and had thirteen years of Labour’s broken promises. What Britain needs is change – and only the Conservative Party has the energy, leadership and values to bring about that change.”
