Anne Main comments on the latest statement by the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
Commenting on the latest statement by the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust Anne Main, Member of Parliament for St Albans said:
"Unfortunately this is yet another cut in staffing on top of other cuts in posts and whilst I hope no member of staff is made redundant, the loss of posts inevitably means an extra burden on staff and facilities and is yet another 'salami slicing' of our local health service.
"Concentration of the cardiology unit at Lister brings with it questions over the future for the QEII. I am worries that these changes may increase the possibility of the Lister hospital being the major winner in financial battle for survival between the QEII and Lister.""
