Anne Main welcomes inquiry into infected NHS-supplied blood

11th July 2017

Speaking in a debate in the House of Commons, Anne Main calls for the independent public inquiry announced today to include the remit of the Skipton Fund which makes payments to those people infected with Hepatitis C through NHS blood or blood products but does not include victims' children and families who have been directly affected.

My constituent, who does not wish to be named, wants us to include the remit of the Skipton Fund in this review. She, and many others, feel that the remit was wrongly drawn up, and that she and others have been denied the justice they should have had.

The hon. Lady makes an important point.
